Hello! First time here with lots of questions

Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

Oh yeah definately, but you wouldn't want to direct the flow right at them anyways, but bounce them off of the glass etc to get good current/circulation for them. One of the main things would be keeping the rocks covered to prevent detritus from settling on them and putting them in suspesion in the water column to be skimmed off, mechanically removed or used up by the corals and not stuck in the systems degrading water quality. In any event, it's not about how much flow you have, but how well placed it is so you may be good...Don't let the high numbers some people have in terms of flow discourage you at all. :)

i just added a closed loop to my 125g..it bumped up the flow alot!!! my hippo moved from his normal sleeping spot to another on the very end ,where the flow is much less...the fish will find a spot if it has to...also, i have the same problems with my leathers and the flow rate..i would like alot more flow, but it blows the leathers everywhere..

On a regular basis, I don't think that is usual...Was the light just swapped from a less intense light lately to an even brighter one? If so, he may need to be acclimated to the new lighting or given sufficient time to adjust. If not, then he may be afraid for some reason of something like if he was recently added to the tank and is not comfortable yet with his surroundings. Clowns IMO are very bold fish that will come right up to you. Just a few thoughts...We have a clown specialist here Ilham (screen name Elmo18) who would be the best to answer that. He even has his own clownfish forum you may find something useful in there. Or better yet, can even post your question there. Here is a link to it:)

LOL...Same way you started this one:p I'd start one in the general forum because it gets the most traffic so just click on forums on the top of the page, go to "General forums" and then click the tab for a "new thread" on the top left side of the page and go from there:)
