HELP! - Newbie with a live rock question

Hi All.

Again, i find my self worrying over a change that has occured in my tank over night almost. I woke yesturday to find a strange looking brown material on one of my pieces of Live Rock. It also has collected on the front bottem half of the tank and i really have no idea what it is. Can anyone help me?
Is it alge?
Please what is the best cleanup crew I can get? Hermit craps?

Sounds like you are experiencing diatoms. Practically normal thing to happen on newly setup tanks. As your tank cycles and matures it will eventually go away. We all experience it, so no worries. The only thing is their isn't a time limit on it, so keep up with you regular maintenance and water changes using ro/di water and you should be fine. Some people use snails to clean up some of it.
