Sorry my pics look like s%^t

There are no pics that will show the amazing detail you have put into this reef build. My hat is off to ya Chad!!!
You have an awesome set up in your basement. Many would be envious.
thank you Dave. you and Kevin had very kind words to say about my tank. it does make me happy to hear that from other reefers. as i started this hobby with a 44 gallon corner tank. i would go over to people houses and look at there huge tanks. all i could do is dream of a tank that big. never in a thousand years did i ever think i would own my dream tank. took lots of money and lots of time. i can't wait to see your big tank up and running. if you ever need help. give me a call. right now i have all the time. always looking for something to do to keep me busy until i have my shoulder surgery. i think that might happen sometime in the next month or so. come on. lets get your tank up and going

please help me. anyone want to come to my house and take clear clean pictures of my tanks for me. my pictures turn out bad. i would love to have some super nice pictures of my tank posted on here.

here you go peppie. i took your advise. i went and got some gutter guard to replace the top piece of acrylic. i think this will work very well.

That will let in plenty of needed light . Wont have to pull the box out every 4 days or so to clean off the top. Looks like it is rigid enough to stay in place

oh no i have a leak. so the last few weeks i have been keeping a eye on a leak. the leak is from two of my bulkheads from one of my returns that go into my overflow box and the drain in my overflow box. so yesterday i had the bright idea to tighten them up. the return bulk head was no problem. as i grabbed the two inch bulkhead for the drain. it knocked off all the salt creep. it started dripping pretty bad. so i put a piece of acrylic down on top of my sump. so it is dripping onto the acrylic and going right into my sump. i didn't have a big enough wrench. so i had to go to lowes and buy one. i tightened up 2 inch bulkhead. it will not stop dripping. i have gotten it to slow way down. i am hoping that in time the salt creep will plug it. the drip is slowing down. oh fish tanks. i love when everything goes well, but hate it when something goes wrong. well we will see if the leak goes away. time will tell.

You may have most likely over tightened it. Your best bet is to remove the bulkhead, clean it and possibly will need a new gasket and replace it. do not tighten so far that it squishes the gasket too much.

oh man i hope i don't have to replace the gasket. that will take a lot of work to do. im going to keep a eye on it. i really don't want to remove that bulkhead. we will see.

You might want to make sure you have an extra bulkhead on hand just in case. You can't always find the one you want when you absolutely need it. I've cracked a few bulkheads from over-tightening. I switched to using SC-80 bulkheads. They're a lot tougher.

yeah i only use the sc-80 bulkheads. Mclendons always has all size sc-80 bulkheads.

imo I would completly remove it and inspect and clean. bulkheads don't leak for no reason! and once you figure it out you know it wont be that hard to fix.

so a little update. last week i picked up a huge colony of green and purple tipped frogspawn. super nice thank you Carlos. here is a picture of it. also i have been kicking around the idea of putting sand into this tank. i am thinking of a 1 inch sand bed. so i have ordered 210 pounds of pure snow white sand. can't wait to get it. should be here by this saturday. woo hoo.

so Devin and i went on a order for rock anemones and mini maxi anemones. these are the ones i am getting on tuesday. can't wait. Devin will have to post up the ones he is getting. they all are super nice.
