Thanks guys, I figured out that it is just this site, on my other watering hole they come up as they should.. anyways, I went and got x4 35g barrels. One for my buddys 150g placed in his garage, two for rodi which will both have spigots soon, and I cut the top off of the last one for a new water change container. Finally I can stop lugging around jugs and not have to make water all the time.

3 cell phone Updates. Got my tds monitor in the mail from BRS, 62tds going in 0 coming out. I know i have a ghetto ro/di unit.

Caught my acan EATING MY HARLEQUIN SHRIMP. Kinda po'd. Not sure the cause of death though.

Lastly my 24'' mac crashed over the weekend so i replaced the dvd superdrive with a new sony one and replaced the HDD with a Solid state hard drive 640gb. Much faster than the old regular harddrives and boosted my ram to 16gbs maxed out. Pic before cleaning.

Yes im sure its her. The acan was devouring all of the meat from its body. Im pretty sure it was my mp10s surging that killed her. She likes to swim while hunting in the open water and i have two vortects on 50% opposite reef crest mode which gets a little hectic. Thanks Charisse.

aww ...my pair died too and it was the saddest thing that i witness...one died first,was laying dead and not moving..i knew he is dead,so i look for the other one, put a piece of starfish and it came out but he was weak,i knew something is wrong,he grabbed the food put it in the spot where they hang out and went and look for the other one,he found her and he was trying to like maybe tell her that theres food...but then it wasnt moving so he stayed still and just didnt walk anymore,he never move at all till i grab and took the dead one out (he was trying to fight me...)..after that he never ate anymore and died a few days later...found out i have a coin in the sump...was a sad experience

Wow Im sorry.. Its so depressing when animals lose their mates. Ive decided to sell my pair of cleaner shrimp and they will be going to their new tank tomorrow. I have caught them and they are in a 10g quarantine. I honestly want to pack this tank with corals so am thinking of setting up a calcium reactor but am still not sure. I already purchased a cO2 tank and regulator.. I had to feed the cleaners to much so im making the trade for more corals and less inverts/fish.

Waiting for a chance to borrow another dslr to update the tank. Have been doing a good amount of puget sound diving (15 total now) since I was basic open water certified in October this year. If anyone else partakes in this hobby and would like to go they are welcome to pm me. I get rentals on full gear and 4 tanks for 60$ for the weekend and would love to find some people that already dive. Here is a picture from my advanced open water final this recent Saturday. The temp of the water was 38 degrees from all the river run off and snow melt so it had a blurry effect just like in our tanks for the first 30 feet of depth while diving. Dove my deepest to 113ft that day with 4ft visibility but 20+ft over the huge vertical north wall and boulder field since there was nothing there to stir up.

Tank looks great. Me and my wife went to a dive shop today to get some snorkeling stuff for our trip. By the time we left, we are planning on dive classes when we get back.

Yes they are the same led's. I'm not sure I made that canopy in November i believe. I'd like to sell this fixture soon and upgrade to something programmable but with all I have going on I don't think this tank will be getting anything new for the next few months. I do like the growth however and will do a before and after fts later to show the two and a half month difference. Thanks man.

Thanks man, Different placement/no optics and closer to the water. I also added two warm whites.

I really like your tank. What types of acans do you have? Were going on a carnival cruise to the carribean. Belize, cozmel, rotan. We fly out the 18th to miami, set sail the 19th and return home the 28th. A week of fun in the warm sun and waters! We're excited! Neither one of us have been farther east than idaho. We got our dslr and our pentax adventure camera. Hoping to get some decent reef pics with the pentax.
