Let's See Some Zoos!

Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

I just started in reefing how much lighting do zoo's need or should they be top tank or bottom I am using MH lighting 2- 250 watts and 1- 400 watt

What size tank?? That amount of light it must be big! I find most zoas are just fine placed at the bottom of the tank but again it depends on the amount of light they are getting. If you have say......a 100 gallon tank with that much lighting they will definately do better at the bottom.

Welcome to RF.....we are kinda friendly bunch of ole salts!

Lighting: 175 watt xm 20k (near surface)

These are just some of my zoos, not much compared to some others I see, but I like 'em none the less. Sorry for the quality, it's a camera phone.
