Thanx for the compliments people, they are appreciated.

Test results for this week are as follows:
temp-77
salinity-33\
Ph-8.31
Alk-8.4 dkh
Ca-420
Mg-1380

Would anyone buy into the theory that maybe some of the inaccuracy of the Salifert Mg tests could be related as to how far the little pink attachment on the 1ml measurer is pushed up on the plastic unit itself???? If you look back at my Magnesium readings going back as far as the first of this year, they have varied 1410 to 1320. My first test this morning was over 1500, and I sat back and said WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have not added Mg to the tank since the readings were around 1320 at the beginning of March. I did a little looking around, and adjusted the 1ml. thing, and lo and behold, the reading went back to 1380.
Now, ok, I can see where some might think I am just playing around, and trying to make the readings look alike, so I tested a third time and it was 1380 again. Anybody got any ideas????

I don't think the plastic tip has any affect on the reading, unless it is not on tight enough and is drawing air. My older (not quite expired) Mag kit tested 1170 when Kelan's new one tested 1425 ppm... :eek:hwell:

If you people look at the picture of the center of my tank, you see a large rock with 3 little colonies of purple stylo and the Galaxea. Anybody want a frag of this stuff???? the 3 little colonies will come as is, with a piece of that rock attached and the galaxea is gonna be fragged. Let me know. I am gonna be talking with Kim tomorrow and maybe trying to set up a meeting in May, at her house on the east edge of Kalispell.

I need to drink more coffee, still can't quite wrap my head around what you just said. So are you pulling that rock out and carving off the corals? Not breaking up the stylos but fragging the galaxea, right? Drink, drink, yep that sounds about right. I need a bigger tank for frags!

Hey Charlie . . . thanks for having me up on Sunday. It's always a pleasure looking at your tank. It's looking really beautiful these days! Here are some of the photos I took :

Sure, I would be up for hosting a meeting . . . I was thinking about maybe a summer BBQ? I know we have a hard time getting together during the summer, but if I throw it out there now, would the end of July work for anybody??

Kim, thanks alot for the pics, I find it amazing that the fish like you so well ;). Of course we did spend a couple hours down there with them gettin used to us.

I am gonna post a May meeting today and I guess I will throw your offer in there to, I can't wait to see what you guys have done with things out there.

It has been a while since I loaded up any pics to this thread, and I know Kelan is just itching to get me back as far as owing beer is concerned, so I figured I had better do something............................ even if it is wrong. So here goes :):)

I noticed a large dip in my alk and calc after I put that clam in just recently.

I am sure the clam had something to do with it Kelan, but you also have things in there that are starting to realize that they have a home and are starting to take advantage of, you know what I mean? Was there a pick up in your coralline growth that may have coincided also???
