Then about the people that knowingly give away or sell frags infected with red bugs? Especially for a beginner that may have no clue what a red bug is. And may never know they have them till mysteriously coral die or nothing may happen. I myself would have to do that to anyone willingly. I have been battling a flatworm problem in my main tank. I have it pretty much licked. But I will not give or sell a frag to a friend or stranger till I know they are guy. But that is me and everyone has a right of ones own opinion.
I don't go and play games and try to hurt feelings on here. There is a RED BUG PROBLEM.

I think it boils down if you dip your corals or quarantine it or you just dont plainly care.

Even if you tell me you dont have Redbug, I will still not risk my tank if I have a $$$$ tank.... I think that is no brainer.... whether he has it or not doesnt matter anymore.... what matters now is what are you going to do about it????

I even read somewhere here in this forum that there was a guy or maybe two that was so dissappointed because they did not get what they wanted even if they know well that the source of the corals has redbugs.

So it still boils down to..... how good you do your husbandry. Do you quarantine or not?, do you dip it or not?, do you use condom or not? Do you risk it or not?

Now... are we just going to continue this blaming game until that person (which i think everybody is reffering to) is out and down and beaten?

With regards to the newbie being given unknowingly with redbugs.... Its the newbies job to do his own assignment, and research about the good practices of trading and buying corals...

And its our job to tell and teach these guys how to do good husbandry practices, and not teach them avoid someone because he has RB. RB is here and will be here to stay...

Just my 02 cents.

Sorry Tracy for hijacking your thread.

Yes mike. I will keep one eye on it. Hard to not look at. This thing is gorgeous and sexy ;) ;).
PS how things looking/ growing.

I had one many years ago and was one of my favorite ever critters! Sure you don't want to take it out and put it in my tank?

All in all, going pretty darn good. Need to do another bug treatment in a month or so. One of the Mandarins made it, one of the harlequins showed back up too, and my one lone gorilla acro crab made it. Think I lost the three monster sized emeralds, one smaller red shrimp and one smaller cleaner. Most hermits made it.

Next time, my QT will become a fuge with all the plants, crabs, shrimp, mandarin, etc and blast the bugs to smithereens! Karen's wrist is healing up well. Business is fine. Coffee is great, not enough beer but I digress. Tank looks really good. Want to add another layer to mesh in skimmer pump and ordered a float valve to the RO system so don't have to watch it to prevent a flood in the basement.

so how do you feed these sexy sea apples? or do they need direct feeding... do they move? or stationery? do they irritate other corals too if in contact?

suspension feeder as in filter feeder. Gathers plankton and edible bits from the water with its branched feeding tentacles. The feeding tentacle is inserted one by one into the central mouth and wided of the food. Detritus and some floating fine food does the job. Fun to watch them licking their fingers. The better they are fed, the faster they grow and brighter they are...

That's great mike on all your doings, also good news Karen's wrist is healing up well :D.
Here are some shots I took today of the 125. Man this photo stuff is a "you know what". I take 30 shots and three kinda turn out .

Yes Cesar I love it. Its hard work taking good shots. Have to hit the book a little more. I know there is a way to adjust the viewfinder ( I think thats what its called ) what I see thru it is not clear so its hard to focus.
PS I did use auto fix on photoshope :( :(

Here are a few I took today. I have a sump baffle full of feather dusters ( helps keep the BS out of the system ). Also a few misc shots

Not sure on this one. Need a ID. Hitchhiked on a wild caught colony. Was one mouth at the base of a coral so I snaped it off and I glued to a plug. Seems to like it.

Those are gorgeous zoas, on that mixed colony rock, Tracy. Great shot. Also love the pic of the anemone and clowns. :)
