Once I get my new big tank running, I'll be doing the same as Marty on my 75. Majano's are really just a plague.

We all wax and wane on these things here and there.

IMO, Give it a month or two of winter before you make decisions. Winter has a way of fixing interest/tanks, just by proxy of less to do outside... The hobby has a way of sucking you back in too...

Too funny! I?m looking closely at my tank and what do I find? The lil shroom that I thought had melted away. It only detached, guess it felt crowded lol.

@mfinn The anemones really got that bad?

Yeah, they are really bad.
The new rock is close to being done cycling and it won't be too much longer and I'll be doing it.
All the temporary equipment is in place. I'm only worried about the fish doing ok in a 90 gallon tank. I'm going to run them through a copper treatment. Every once in a while I see one fish or another flash once or twice, so there may be ich present. It could be flukes too, so a round of prazipro is in order.

What about any corals attached to the rock? My hearts hurts for you, lotta work to be done! :(

I am setting up a temporary tank ( 65 gallon) in the dining room near the 233.
I will frag off all the corals I can and save them in the temp tank. I picked up pieces for it here and there and have a complete system including 2 radions, tank, stand, sump, and skimmer.
Once I get all the corals out I will remove the rock and then the fish.
It's one of those things that are unpleasant but you know it has to be done.
Going to try and get the 65 in the house today and do a freshwater test. Check for leaks.
The new rock showed no ammonia or nitrites yesterday so I dosed some more ammonium chloride last night and will test to see how fast the bacteria works on it.

Tank resets are a bunch of work, yes, but the result is so worth it in the end. Its hard to be excited about a tank with issue like majanos, especially since many times it means you can't really add coral. (No space, they get stung or overrun)

What an awesome lil fish! So active and visible. Not bothered in the least by the 6Line. I was also given a very big bunch of Chaeto so my fuge is now full of green goodness.
I?m feeling a bit renewed about my tank. So much so I even tested the parameters. Amazingly I?ve got acceptable levels. Great even! Lol.

rejuvenated with the cheato probably.
Those are fun little fish.
Glad your getting your mojo back a little.

Thanks you two! I?m thinking one more fish later on. A Blenny! Jeff has some really nice ones atm.

Here?s a couple pictures of the new store. Marquette?s very own SW only store. Just opened last Wednesday.
Check out his FB page for more pictures. UP Reef.
