Sorry you won't be at the meeting. We can hook up anytime for the frag I would actually like to meet you this week and talk w/ ya about my stand, and go over the details of it.
If your evenings are free I'll try to give you a call. I go to work about 5am and close at 5:30 but my shop is in Lakewood so it would only take a few minutes to get to you. Do you have a kreg jig and a mortise machine?
Tom, my XM 250w 10k's have been on this thursday for 5 weeks. I so remember that first pic as I stood back when they fired up and all I saw was pink. I about freaked. Mine took about 7 days to brighten to the white like yours have now. All I can say is I love them.
Don, give me a call anytime. I am going to pm you my number
Gordo, they AWI is mainly a wholesaler, but they do have a will call and sell to the public
Sue, My lights after just 3 days are starting to turn brighter and whiter. I have already noticed some of my high light demanding corals shifting back to some more beautiful colors of purple and yellow vs. brown and tan
just a quick tone in on the XM lights, I use them for the SPS holding tanks and a lot of the corals look better now than when they came. At around 7 months I did get a shift but they sill look great. we are running 10k & 20K 400's and 10k & 20k 250's. I have been swaping out the old 250 Ballast with the one coralvue sells (all electronic) woks great.
I got the ballast and fixtures from Aquarium Paradise. I cannot talk about the price I paid. I traded a lot of corals and work for these. The bulbs I got from hellolights.com, and I think I paid $65 a piece.
