Hello just moved to Redmond, Wa. from Missouri. Getting ready to set up a new aquarium. Clean sheet project. I am building my tank currently. It is 40"long x 30"deep x $26"tall. Also building a matching sump with a refug. section. Any help with designs for this would be helpful. Also building my skimmer (nice being a machinist with access to cell cast acrylic). Still working out lighting. Really looking hard at LEDs any opionions? Well I'm very thicked skinned so any help/advise is very welcome!

Welcome to Reef Frontiers! I'm new to saltwater and everyone here has been really helpful. I've been looking at LEDs myself, are you thinking of a DIY project? It sounds like you aren't afraid of doing things yourself. :)

Hey Zach :welcome: to Reef Frontiers. We love DIYers here, its nearly half the fun of Reefkeeping to begin with. I'm just about to begin the soldering proccess of a fairly complicated LED build and should be posting it up sometime next week

Cheers, Todd

Hello thanks for the welcomes. Been looking at the DIY LED lighting and may go that route. Also thinking about building a alge scrubber/surge maker set-up. The idea is fairly simple and looks fun! Lol Just ordered the cell cast acrylic so tank should be done in the next week or so.

Welcome Z--Rabbit. Its good to have another DIY guy. I hope you are schooled it Picture taking and posting. We will need to see your handy work.
I have been building a 85gal All In One. with 3/4" Plexiglass-G. It is not your standard aquarium.
Looking forward to seeing your build.
