Yeah...That's the same lens Sherman recommended as well on an earlier post. My wife's cousin who's camera got us interested in the Canonhave a macro lens I will try first when they get back from the US before ordering one for myself. They aren't sure which one they have, but we'll see next week

Did you get a tripod? That is a must for the macro lens. At least it is for me, I am not as steady as I used to be.

Nope No tripod yet, but will get one. I just use a TV tray and stack the camera on a box(LOL). I will start a thread in a few seconds with some photos I took.

I picked up a new book called, Digital Rebel Field Guide by Charlotte Lowrie. Very good read. In the Appendix section, it mentions a really good tutorial site.

I recommend reviewing this site. It is filled with a ton of good, useful information.
