Really nice sryder! I was thinking about chaeto myself if I used an algae. I haven't decide yet for sure. Thanks for posting the pics!!

Nice job!!! Try some chaeto or some seagrass, they won't go sexual on you, and everyone with a fuge that lives near you will want some!!

Yep, I agree too. Cheato is pretty hardy, and it doesn’t need to be lit 24/7. I have some in my main tank right now, ready for if or when I finally get my bigger sump project rolling. I’m really not all that thrilled with the look of it in there, so it’s kinda stuffed in the back behind the rock work. Even though that it’s in an area that doesn’t receive a whole lotta light, it still seems to grow but probably not as rapid if it where under a better spectrum.

That’s a good thought, Krish. Although personally, the whole idea of having something that heavy hanging and putting pressure on the tank walls makes me a little leery. It’s bad enough that I already have a hang on overflow back there! lol I suppose if it were propped up and supported some way that would be better, but I also hate working on things that are “behind” the tank. I’d much rather have it underneath, in the stand so I can service it easier and be able to see it better. I’ll get there... Some day!

just a homemade 20 gal long fuge. works well but needs a better filter spot.. pods galore baby brittle stars all over in it.

Well at first i thought you were joking but now after what you said dood, and with a little bit of confusion, could you explain a little bit more about this sexual issue *Krish playing some Bob Marley on the back *? i really had no clue that caulerpa would do that
 
Diablo...That setup is really nice! Thanks for postng it! It looked like a planted freshwater tank at frst glance(LOL) I bet you don't have a nuicance algae issue in there!

Try and do a search on caulerpa and refugiums, I'm sure you will find some interesting things. Research, research, research...:confused:
 
Just a bump in case someone has something new to show. I see Kevin has a pretty neat setup so far under his stand under construction...

I'll add my new pictures as soon as I'm finished re-arranging/changing and setting it up

I figured i'd bump this thread again because I know RF has new members joining daily and figured it may be useful to them and also incase they had something of their own they wanted to share...
