Travel Trailer UPGRADE!!

So a year ago, Easter Sunday, we purchased our first travel trailer. We'd purchased a 78 20' Aljo, which needed A LOT of work. Our first camping trip, we discovered several plumbing leaks, the furnace didn't work and the hot water heater didn't work...lol. I fixed the plumbing leaks, we purchased a portable electric heater and didn't take showers...lol. BUT, we discovered that we loved trailer camping!

So, after several weeks of "shopping," yesterday we brought home our upgrade! We purchased a 1995 Nash 26J. We're the second owners and it's been kept in very good shape, regularly maintained, winterized every year and we have all of the maintenance records, dating back to the original sale!

The ornamental ducks, turtles and bunny were in one of the cabinets. Our daugter, Madison, decided they needed some fresh air...

The couch is currently folded down, in the bed position.

The original mattress was replaced, very recently, by a actual queen sized mattress.

Thanks! We can't wait to take it out. We'll actually take it down to Portland, in a couple of weeks, for about 5 days.

Actually, one of the reasons we got the first one was to save on some of our expenses when we visit the west side of the state. Every time we went over, we'd spend hundreds of dollars for a few nights in a hotel and hundreds of dollars on eating out 3Xday. Now all we have to pay for is gas and a camp site fee. Much less expensive. In fact, our first travel trailer basically paid for itself our first trip in it, which was to Seattle for one of Barrier Reef's sales. We were there 3 days.

Definitely! I actually used to love tent camping and backpacking. I'd never talk Angie into it though...lol. She loves trailer camping though, even in the old trailer, with all of it's issues. Last year, we put that trailer to good use A LOT!

This one will be put to use in a couple of weeks. Madison has a dance competition, in Portland, OR. and we'll take it down there. The competition is Saturday and Sunday but we'll actually head down there Wednesday. Angie's never been to Portland and her only time in Oregon was driving through part of it, from Spokane to Boise, ID. I've been wanting to get her to Portland for several years. We'll even have enough time that I'll take her and Madison to the coast, for a day trip, maybe even an overnight. Now I've just gotta find a camp site, near enough to Portland for the dance event.

Our family has spent many many weekends in a camper or motorhome. It is so easy to pic up and just go.
I am sure Crazyfish would find you a spot to park it, if you were to come over for the BBQ the first weekend of June.

Ya know, the BBQ is one event we've never made it to, even though we've tried several times. The closest I ever got was while working in Puyallup. Unfortunately, that particular day I had to work.

the wife and I bought a tent trailer at the end of last summer and only got to use it once cause of it needing some repairs and are very much looking forward to using it this summer..

Nice! We thought about the option of a tent trailer, before getting the old one, a year ago. However, usually when we go camping, at least some of my 3 adult children, their significant others and grandchildren join us. We also tend to camp as much as possible, from early April, right through early November. Over here, there a high likelyhood of snow, at both of those extremes. We needed the "self contained" aspect of a full trailer...and it's warmth! lol

ya it is only the wife and I and new baby boy and some times teenage daughter.

I went older so i could get more options in the trailer. this little guy has it all..for a small tent trailer.

sink,elec. water pump,3 burner cook top,fridge,potty,shower,water heater, and heater. no oven or micro or a/c tho. but it sure is nice to off the ground. and to have a hind out if it rains.
