Just a little FYI ....
The flow from all 5 heads seem to be almost identical, at least by my highly calibrated hand :D I was going on the assumption of fluid dymanics (hydraulic) which says the pressure at any two points in a closed loop system must be equal.
Therefore the top manifold is a...
Hello all,
Once again I need to ask another question. In the process of setting up a tank in preperation of a major move coming on Sunday.
Anyway I have 125gals of water being recirced in tank and it's 100% RO/DI and about 75% fresh salt. The remainer was waterchange water from tank being...
Hey Charlie,
Be sure to be prepared to carry a couple containers home. I need a safe place for a special frag, incase the worse happens.
Also would you happen to have a 1 1/2 bulkhead laying around? I wil be able to replace once other tank is tore down but I could sure use it before hand. The...
Sure Gina I will send directions shortly.
Also not sure what I was thinking but the stand the tank is now on you can have. It has an open bottom which allows for a sump. Once again not sure what I was thinking when I told you about the other stand.
Duane
Gina I do have a stand for it but it's the type of stand that you won't be able to put a sump under it. But if you want it when you depart with the tank the stand can go with it.
Sounds like the best deal I have heard of so far. It will take some work to clean up all the coraline but it's all yours. Only thing I will say is it is the tank only. No overflows or bulkheads come with it. I'm sure I will eventually need them once again. :)
But if you want it you can take it...
With the AM3k and actually not alot of head, pump is only about 1.5' below return, I'm hoping for about 500 gpm from each nozzle. I've had it running in the garage for about a week and all the particles in dirty tank were suspended.
They were actually pretty iratic. I'm hoping that once the...
I would say somewhere around noon and BBQ sometime around 4pm. So if you want to assist sometime before 4 and if you want to eat and visit then anytime at all.
I'm going to be real easy on this one. I should have water in it and ready to begin move by Sunday. Going to be looking for a 55gal...
LMBO you do have a point there, but the bullets will come eventually. Unless we can find someone smarter than us that wants to take on the project of cleaning and resealing the tank. :(
Don't think I would wish that on anyone.
Duane
Thanks Krish,
I'll keep you all up to date, going to be fun and a learning experience for all involved. Sounds like there is going to be a few of us involved. Beer, Brauts, and Bulletts :D
Have to refer to it from here on out as BBB
Hello Everyone,
Just thought I would start a new thread to show the progress of a major tank change out that I will be going through in the next couple weeks.
A little background, About 1 1/2 years ago I had just met the infamous Charlie :D We were just getting to know each other and...
Quick question Charlie,
By any chance did you gain any noticable flow by redoing the plumbing? I guess you couldn't wait for me to show up huh? :) nice to see you got it done though.
Congrats!!! It looks better
Duane
If your tank is truely completely clean of anything for them to eat you might try Nori.
When ever I feed my tanks a slice and they don't eat it all, the snails are there shortly :)
Maybe that will help
Duane
easiest way to rid yourself of that little fellow is to go to Walmart buy some Mrs. Wages pickling lime, make a light paste out of it and use a siringe of some type and inject directly into his mouth.
That will fix him, but do it soon before he gets too big
Duane
ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!! I hope you had a couple done so you can have framed :)
Wish I knew someone to make my house and tanks look that nice :D
congrats
Duane
