    Let's See Some Nano's

I'm just curious to see what all of you have done with your nano's...so here is an opportunity to show them off if you'd like.

setting up a nano but lots of ?

Yeah the evap can be a real pain...I was topping off two to three times a day on my 5 gallon. However, the air where I'm at is kind of dry and hot.

when the tank is finishing its cycle you should have nitrates but no ammonia or nitrite

    Fang Blenny

In my experience they can be a little shy at first, but should start eating very well. They have a very high metabolism so you should feed them often and they like a variety of meaty foods

    trouble with my montis

yeah they're fairly new and I was suspecting the lighting to be the problem. I just found it curious that the two specimens are reacting so differently...I guess they're all individuals

    trouble with my montis

No they are on either side of the same rock and get about the same flow...there was no detritus in the cap...they are both growing and have polyp extension (nitrates are 0)

    trouble with my montis

I have a M. digitata and M. cap that are approximately the same level in my tank and recieve about the same flow. What I thought was unusual was that the digitata has begun to pale while the M. cap is browning a little. I was under the impression that they had similar light requirements. Any...

    Chili Coral(Nephthyigorgia sp)?

I believe they do best in low to moderate flow and lower light...you can keep them under a ledge or something like that

Starting a new Salt water tank again, have questions.

Fresh water dips are a good way to get rid of the ich

    What a horrible practice!!!

yeah the dolphin harvest is horrible. The immense number of sharks being finned for Shark Fin Soup is also disgusting. It's one of the cruelest things I've seen

    converting to T5's

yeah I've heard a lot of good comments on the T5's. I figured if I use a retro-fit kit I can put four over the tank. Do you have a suggestion for the bulbs? I was thinking about 2 20k and 2 14k

    converting to T5's

I want to switch my 15 gallon from PCs to HO T5s. I wanted to hear some of your thoughts on the bulbs? I was going to put 4 over it (just for even numbers) but I was wondering if that is too much. give me your thoughts thanks

    suggestions on T5ho bulbs

    suggestions on T5ho bulbs

I'm planning on switching my fixture from PCs to T5ho. I was planning on running 4 bulbs over the tank (which is a mixed reef in progress). I was wondering what bulbs you guys might suggest for the tank. My lfs only carries 18k or true actinics so I'm guessing I will probably have to order online.
