40 gallon sps (in progress)

so i finally got a 40gallon breeder today..

i plan to have one small yellow tang and one sixline wrasse.

and ofcourse, sps corals.

the setup has
-250watt mh 14k hamilton.
-aquac remora. might get some other skimmer.
-25# LR from my 10g. ...i'll buy more when i can find
-rio 800 powerhead

i will buy
-20# LR
-1400gph of seio powerheads
-another heater that is less than 250watts

so heres pics of 6 months in the making:

beginning, first corals from ben. they have changed color soo much


about a week ago. ...wicked clam, awesome sps, etc, etc,


and about 2 hours ago.. 3/7/07 new 40g settup with my retro mh stand.


i will keep updating this..i plan to get most the equip by april so during spring break i can enjoy this.

Also, with regards to the metal halide stand.... we have the same idea... and here is what im using. It is resting on the tank itself.

And a close up how you reaise it during summer and lower it during winter.
Also I painted it black to make it look good.

no no no, im still having that awesome cave,

so im making an upside down v shape ...the rock shape i have right now will be on the left side of the v and i will make a wide rock face on the right side......then in the middle, there is going to be a 12x12" empty space and i will get some tonga branches and make a shape with it right in the middle for a rock centerpiece
