A. Arthropod's. Very fascinating creatures.

Krish, what happens when someone posts the wrong answer? Maybe we can figure out a point system?

Q. Where was the most recent reef found?

Trying to kill this thread Frankie? LOL . . . This might give me some negative points but my google research leads me to try this answer: Ireland-Rockall Plateau, a deepwater reef was discovered in 2009.

Q.What is the worst issue you have dealt with in your tank and how did you resolve it?

Wrong! LOL :D The answer is this year off the coast of Tel Aviv.

Answer Monti eating nudibranch. Ended up having to remove all the montipora and letting the tank go Monti fallow for a year to eliminate them. Lost all my large monti colonies in the process :(

Q. How long has online reefing been in use?

Q. How long has online reefing been in use?

LOL^^^ because they can. I have a few questions.

1. Why does my new female green mandarin hide from the male mandarin?

2. My new B&W Saddleback clownfish sits on my DSB and looks to swim hard to move around. Any clue?

3. Sea apple is not opening (feeding) during day.

Yea, tell Mike to set up a point system in here for us and get on it ASAP

(1) Not sure, maybe shy

(2) Sounds like a question for Lee. I'd start a thread in his forum ASAP!

(3) Never had a sea apple so I was not any help to you on any of your questions LOL!!

Q. Could we, as hobbyists, effect the prices of corals, with our buying habits?

Yes. Could be in both a negative or positive way. The coin could fall either way IMO. :)

Stinking overflow box stopped working and pumped all the water from the sump onto the floor.

Q: Why is it when I do anything to my tank every thing just goes to heck?

Might be because of the moron cycle I was once accused of violating. :p I will find you the thread and edit this post with the link to it incase you would like to read up on it. Other than that, that is just the way things go sometimes un-fortunately. :)

Q: If you had a choice, salt mix or natural sea water?

If I could do it I would run plumbing down into the bay and never do a water change again. Just heat the water before enter the tank and draining the old water back into the bay.

Q: How often do you clean the inside of the body of your skimmer?

Q: How often do you clean the inside of the body of your skimmer?

Not sure about the body because my skimmers have always been awkward to get down in there good, but the neck, I use to clean it every week.

Q: How much do you think you depend on your skimmer?? Do you think your tank would suffer if you removed it??

Q: How much do you think you depend on your skimmer?? Do you think your tank would suffer if you removed it??

Yes it would suffer and mine did. Shortly after stocking most of my fish the skimmer pump went out. I was with out a skimmer for 3 weeks and by the end of that time I had green brown water and green algae growing on all the rocks.

Q: Can you really have a skimmer that’s too big for your tank?

Good question and personally, I don't think so. Can't see how possibly it could be a bad thing. A pump yea, but skimmer I say no. Might make for a really good thread to debate if someone thinks a skimmer actually can be too big for a tank. :)

Q: Do you think it is better to have your skimmer in the input chamber of your sump getting a shot at in-coming water first, or do you feel location doesn't make a difference?

Two thoughts on that
1 skimmer the junk out as soon as it leaves the tank.
2 skim before it enters the tank to add O2 and other gas exchanges.

I want to increase my return pump size to around 1500 GPH, what’s the best pump for this that can be run internal.
