Cwazy Clown
Koi
I've decided to upgrade my 12" cube into something a little bigger that would allow more room for my corals and *the biggest reason* more gallonage for another clownfish :bounce:
I chose the size 16x16x12 because its only slightly bigger and would fit in my small studio, but is also is twice the gallonage as my 12" cube. I also like low tanks, which is why I stayed with the 12" height.
I chose to go with an AIO design because I was sick of looking at the heater/aquac in my tank. Its just ugly. Plus my aquac puts out a ton of microbubbles, which I can trap with the configurations of the AIO system. I also incorperated a fuge in the back so I can remove my little AC20 powerfilter and use that wattage to power a mj1200 for the return (better power consumption per unit of flow)
Heres the initial design:
The compartments go from left to right:
1. overflow slots/HOB skimmer pump
[Bubble trap between these two sections]
2. middle section holds 2x heaters and acts as the fuge (thinking about putting a 7000k LED over it)
[underside flow to eliminate further bubbles that make it through the chaeto]
3. far left section is just for the MJ return pump. The locline has a valve in it just incase the mj pushes more than the overflow can pull.
