Sculpin, you have equipment for sale? I looked and could not see any. When a repeat buyer can not even see an ad, something needs to change.

looks like Panjo is not connecting like it should to the sales forums. if you click on Marketplace and then select the equipment or livestock for sale you will get your ads. its only a couple extra clicks!

I like puppies too.

I like puppies also, really like animals, birds, fish etc. but I'f I was going to sell a puppy or whatever I'd go to the puppy site, there are millions compared to reefing site lol, but hey that is just me.


As far as Panjo, I pay attention to the complaints but this is the first other than a few minor quirks when it was first started. Also it was just updated and I will investigate these complaints but I don't buy that it isn't or hasn't been the sole cause of the site slowdown. I will look into the issues, if this would really bring the forum back I'd do it in a heartbeat but I did a while back and it didn't make a lick of difference. People make the difference, not me or the rules or whatever certain people don't like one particular aspect of the way the forum is. I love the site and the people here and do whatever I can to make it better. If we had the finances like other sites to pay the top guys to come and post here then we would probably be rocking, we don't make that here sorry, it pays to keep it going and updated and stresses me out when it goes down. Complain then help me out I listen, also I can't jump on every bandwagon because Jo-blow doesn't like me or what quirks it has that they don't like. sorry for that. People make these sites If you want it back then do your part and help me get it back, stop working against me, I don't want it to fail any more than anyone else, I run this place for free, I never took or made a dime off this site so that isn't my motivation to be here!:tape:

I got my start here, I will be sad if it's not around. There must be a way to bring participation back to the place. This is a great site with incredible knowledge when you need it.

FB is a cool thing, however, it's also an ADD circus. Try to find your post 2 hours later... just saying.

The irony that I respectfully disagree but that means I am :fencing:

c'mon bud its not all bad! and yes the value of local buying and selling is HUGE!

The big thing for me on FB is that my posts get lost...quickly. Just hard to keep a constant conversation with that happening...also post jackin is rampant on there!
 
I got my start here too and met some awesome people and learned a ton. I liked that fact that it was more user friendly when I was more active. I find it rather frustrating trying to post a wtb or sell that you have to go through a 3rd party. Huge turn off for me and I'm sure it has something to do with the traffic be slow here. People now days like accessibility to buy and sell. Of course it should be things related to the hobby.
 
I actually started on another forum southern based kinda lol.
Found this site and was amazed with all the local ppl and build threads and the marketplace was nice to.
Panjo is a big pita imo. Sry
D
 
All site's have up and down times just the way it is.......RF is a known site and is also known for a lot of quality people. I have always found when I am not getting anything out of something its because I am not putting anything in:)

This site wont die.
I am going to predict that it will be back better than before.
All the FB pages are full of people giving information that is questionable at best!
If you make a good post with factual information , in less than 8 hours it is so far down the page no one sees it. What a waste.
If you are looking to buy coral go to FB
If you want to know how to run a reef tank join a Forum!!
