Hey Floyd, the BBQ sounds but, a Hawaiian Luau would be AWSOME. I'm sure with your connections and security/clearance level you could finagle a C-130 from WNAS to fly you and 50-60 of your closest North Sound Reefer friends over for a day in the tropical sun and a BBQ on the beach mmmm.....

Seriously though, your meeting = your schedule and will make the effort to be there. Looking forward to meeting the new island members.

Sounds like Todd has a plan, but Floyd, please get at least a C-141, we will be in the air all week in a 130 ;-)

Hey guys I hate to do this but this month is a little crazy. I have a birthday to plan for the weekend of the 16th, and Easter the following, and then another birthday the weekend of the 30th. So I will not be able to host a meeting this month. If there is another motivated member out there that would like to take on a group of crazy North Sounders please chime in so we can figure a date.
 
I'll have to check my calendar and with the wife. I may have at least one Saturday I could possibly do later this month.
 
I too could have folks over.
We might be able to meet at red C if Rob wants to host again and show off the new stock...

I am Sure Todd(TJL) or myself will be talking with Rob in the next day. I had spoken to Todd about this a couple of days ago and thought it would be good to show our support for Rob.
 
Well, I think meeting at Red C Aquarium would be great.
However, I am willing to host it this month on the 28th if there turns out to be no other plans. If other plans come up, maybe the next month. I know Todd is hosting one in a few months, so two trips over here might be a bit much, but if your all willing then I'll be happy to host a get together. If you all want to meet at the edmonds ferry terminal and carpool over, it is more cost effective. There is no charge for passengers on the ferry ride back from kingston to edmonds. I am only 13 minutes from the ferry north of kingston...Point-no-Point area. If it is a nice day, it will be great for a get together. We'll get the new grill fired up and I'll supply burgers. Bring your own sodas/pop. If you want to bring something like chips or COOKIES... feel free. We can do a frag swap too. I have plenty of room to keep them while we visit.

Anyone interested in coming by to meet and visit with fellow reefers, your more than welcome.
 
Sounds great to me. Of course I think something that may be keeping a lot of folks from traveling these days is the $4.00+ a gallon gas prices. :frown:
 
Yep, Getting real bad. Going to be around $5.00 a gallon by the end of summer, hope everyone is ready. I really hate it when it cost me $14-16 for a roundtrip to Renton these days. Sucky.
 
I remember when I could fill the motorcycle up for under 8$. Now its almost 20$ I dont drive my truck much any more. That would cost 150$ to fill. I figured out that it cost me in ferry tickets and gas to drive the car to work, is $560.00 a month. But thats another subject maybe for the water fountain! I really need to find a job on the peninsula....
 
Yeah, I guess I am just glad for the moment I am on Workman's comp. I was travelling 30 miles a day and 2 1/2 years ago I would be spending around $30 a week in my Zuki. Now I'd probably be spending around $60 a week.
 
BUMP Again for May Get Together..... couple of thoughts; we have been wanting to have another visit to Red C Aquarium and this could happen this coming Saturday the 7th or the following Saturday the 14th as PSAS is going to have thier Auction/Swap Meet on the 21st. Or we could arrange carpools and all go to the Auction event, this might be a nice gift for our spouses as well in selling (getting rid of)our un-needed equipment cluttering up our garages etc...

I'm up for a Get Together at Rob's on the 7th or the carpool down to the Auction as will be in Vegas on the 14th. NOT a gambler so will be bikini watching by the pool while my wife works a trade show and hopefully check out some LFS's and that big Reeftank at the ??? Casino. Is there anything else worth seeing (daytime ???) down there as not really a Hangin' out by the pool kinda guy.

May 7th is out for me. Mother's day weekend and already have plans. Might be up for the PSAS meeting. It would be great to show our support to the PSAS as this group was founded becuase of the PSAS.

North Sound Reefers came about because of the North Sound folks wanting a northend PSAS chapter. Well we should show our support and show the PSAS that a north sound chapter is alive and well.

Todd, please keep to the discussion. I agree, the auction might be a fun trip and we can show our support...
 
I'm with you Alex.
Some people are worried about attendance at the auction. Lets all be there.

Its a long ways to go for most of us. I dont go to the meetings for that reason. I'd like to get to one every once in a while though.

OK... Auction it is. Now we can get down to figuring out carpools and such, I can drive (truck) will have room for 4 plus equipment each way.

Thanks Todd, sounds fun and am positive that I'll get more bang for the buck :laser: Sure will be nice to get away from the GD :rain:
