No skimmer, no problem?

I had considered super glue but was concerned about chemistry I don't know about leaching into the tank. From the poor guys post yesterday after having particle board hit his tank I'm glad I went the "if I am not 100% sure, I am not doing it" route.

Its a circular collar like piece that attaches to the blades to the magnet, shouldn't ever be a ton of resistance but we will see, if it fails, I am pretty sure ordering an impeller shouldn't be too much of a monster. Of course every time I assume anything (like an RBTA splitting being good) the universe backhands me.

Some people have used superglue (gel) to attach corals, so I don't think it would be a problem.

Good to know. I have a ton of Devils Hand frags to fasten and had just been using rubber bands to attach them to rock till they fastened themselves. I don't have a way of removing the silicone, I'll take a look when I get home tonight to see if there are any spots that might accept some superglue to reinforce it but I think I am about 24 hours too late on trying that.

I had a 90 gallon tank that I ran skimmer less for about 1 and half years. I had an anemone in there and it never split or seemed stressed. Most of my corals were softies though and they like higher nutrient water and even phosphates. I did faithful weekly WC and used carbon since softies will at times war against each other. I have since added a skimmer and my water parameters definitely improved. Now I have a clam, something I would not have risked without the skimmer.

I have LPS, softies, shrooms and the three RBTAs.

Going to take a pic of the tank as is and keep an eye on coral/anemone health with changes.

superglue and the like is number one coral glue, but for leathers number one meathod is prob to sew. as in needle and thread. sofitees can release themself from glue.

Impeller detonated. Universe, thanks for the patience to back hand me as frequently as you do.

Ok, so I did some tinkering on the tank. Lights had some issues with wiring, now getting much more out of them. Tried to fix the impeller with super glue, this time the bloody thing blew apart completely. Like in several pieces. Checked water quality, all tests came out well but did two 10 gallon water changes a day apart. Couple more questions with pics.

First up is the devils hand leather:

This is what he looked like a couple weeks ago. He has two RBTA's literally starting to move up his trunk. Not sure what to do with this.

This is where the larger piece of the split RBTA moved to. He is up and down, this is a down pic.

I know he is not getting enough light here as he is shaded by the frogspawn a ton, I know, you don't move anemones, you let them move themselves, but he is on a rock clear of anything else, I may move him to a more lit area if he doesnt move himself in a day or two.

Here is mentioned Frogspawn. Its like a foot across. However, there are a few heads being shaded to death, does anyone have the tools and expertise to help me frag the shaded heads off without fragging the whole thing?

Any ideas would be welcome. I'm hoping with the fixes to the light, the RBTA's back off of the shaded area they are in and off of the Leather. Also hoping the lights stop the leather from the consta fragging. Btw, if anyone has a spare skimmer they want to trade for leather, frogspawn frags and maybe a baby RBTA once he gets off the damn leather, let me know.

Oh, last fun bit, the refugium has what looks like turbo snails growing big enough to have shells in there and I saw a tiny shrimp moving around. Its in a bad spot for viewing but pretty happy about seeing the little critters down there that I can.
