hole in the head on my powder brown tang

Sometimes when fish are introduced into a tank full of live rock, they seem to go back to their old grazing ways and don't worry about what is in the water column. That is why the QT for 3 months or so will normally break that habit and it will always know to look for your prepared foods...

My purple tang is in trouble

This fish may be fine now, but don't expect any new fish to acclimate well into this environment. The ich will always be in there. Good luck, -augustus

    lights 10 gallon,lights 155 gallon

Three of the 250's, should be all you need. Anything more than that, and it will just have too much excessive heat. And the 10gal should be able to home sps depending on how stable the parameters are. The nano's (from what I hear) are known for large fluctuations very quickly. Good luck :)...

    Harlequin Tusk (spelling)

Looks as though I have been beaconed :p. I have kept two sally lightfoot crabs with mine and he has been fine, although I wouldn't trust them with any other type of motile invert that can't fight back well. One thing that I will point out though, is that they (IME) are almost worst than triggers...

    dual overflows?

I wouldn't, because normally it will make it really loud. So to clarify, you have bubbles going all the way through the refugium making it into the pump? -augustus

    dual overflows?

With overflows on a drilled tank, you shouldn't have to put any ball valves on the drains. That is the nice thing about them...as much as you pump in comes out. Open your ball valves all the way, and if the water is low on the pump side that means that it is time to "top off". -augustus

    my first saltwater/reef tank

Hey Travis, it looks really good so far. The PSAS is deffinently something to get involved with and it is very easy to end up getting your $30 back. The only question I have by looking at your picture is if you have a check-valve or air hole on you returns (assuming that is what the pvc is)...

how flat does my tank stand need to be?

Agreed, you can even use some matching wood trim to wrap the tank for a classy look. -augustus

    puffer help

Sometimes it is easier to check the pectoral fins. If they are clear and you still see the "dots" that don't apear to be falling off, then it might just be ich. Keep an eye on it, and maybe post a pic if you can. Good luck. -augustus

My purple tang is in trouble

Just so you don't think it is just the few people saying the same thing, I am going to jump on this and agree with the others that action needs to take place (as in get the tang out). Maybe more people will chime in and let you know aswell. We can't make you or anybody else do anything, so it is...

    Order for Adding Fish

Okay, this is just my honest opinion, so know that there are more ideas for everything.:) In a 75gal I would only consider the yellow tang, as all of the others would just get too large and need to swim too much. I would also start with the smallest fish working your way up to the foxface and...

    Hermit crabs

Larger shells are deffinently a must, but also what do you consider a "hex wrasse"? I tried googling and couldn't come up with anything by that name. But, at any drop a hermit in and watch your wrasse and dottyback to see if they do anything. Both of those fish (wrasse' is general) seem to have...
