Nitrates / Phosphates and large livestock

Can't agree more here...The point we are really trying to get across, is that no matter what you do filter wise, it will not help the fact that these fish are in a 75gal. If you are planning on getting a larger tank there are lots of people on here with large tanks (including myself) that would...

    Help with Galaxia coral

I have a very large one, and everytime I touch it the thing frags it self. :p The small polyps seem to just flake off and then next thing you know you have Galaxia's growing every where. With out taking it out of the water though, I think that it will be kind of hard to take the whole colony...

I think we need an invert only section for threads!

Agree with Curt being that it should be moved, but just to clarify, we would want it to be "motile inverts"... Good Luck, -augustus

how many gallons do we have

240 DT+ 100 DT+ 150 sump= 490 :D 490+109.9=599.9 Just thought I would join in the fun, cool concept and I think we will be in the 1k's in no time. Thanks, -augustus

good eel for a cforner 60 gal

That includes most of the eels out there, but I wouldn't recomend any of them in a 60gal. It is kind of hard to do a predatory tank with something that small because most predators get to a decent size besides the dwarf lions. As far as eels go though, I would deffenently suggest a yellow dwarf...

Got Pics of your tanks w/different 400W Halide bulbs?

I know that this is about 400w's, but this is still a very cool site to check out. I myself run 3x 400w, but I don't think you would want to see how well the Ebay's do :p http://chrismorris.ca/250wcolour/ -augustus

    Catching fish with cyanide

perfect, I totally agree. Another thing to take into consideration about prices, is how long the LFS holds the fish before letting it be sold. If they were just getting the fish out as fast as it came in then there is no reason to have as much mark up on it. But in the same sense, if they are...

Compatability help Please.Do i need to get rid of a few?

100% agree here. The 2 tangs and the trigger would be the only "temparary" fish that should (that I feel) be kept for the time being in the 75gal. Of course, I would think that within a year or two, these too could out grow the tank. Not trying to bash on you by any means, but just trying to...

    Diet?

As Sid said, it was more of an answer to "miss pickle" :D Thanks, -augustus

    Diet?

Mysis really isn't a filling diet if exspecially if that is all you are feeding. To narrow down what you should be feeding kind of depends on what kind of fish you have. If they are all tangs then switch to way more of a veggie diets. I put about 10+ different things in the food I make to...
