    I'd heard of it before too but SM really simplified it. I made mine same day as reading his original post and it was fun building and running and watching it grow so thank you :) do you know of any other fun devices I can cheaply make for my tank?

    you can put on a hang on back filter with some cotton type media, it'll clear it right up. move filter in a couple of days.

    wow, thanks for letting me know. what about micro hermit crabs from the puget sound? I saw thousands of them in 6" of water. they look just like micro blue leg crabs but a boring brown color.

    just picked up a couple from hood canal. they were living in fairly warm water or just out of the water on low tide. anyone know whether they are reef safe?

    I was able to add a frag tank with out any additional pump. I'm sure you can do the Algae farm like that too.

    I think I have 21 of them. I've heard they do nothing for your tank unless you have hundreds of them??? not sure but they are fun to grow :)

    Thanks guys. the epoxy is 100 for both parts at Benjamin Moor. Here;s a few pix. softies are growing fast. added some sps, not doing so great so just waiting for the tank to mature a little more :) ][/IMG] [/IMG]
