HELP!!! Problems with my new True Perculas

I may be wrong but I think he was asking how long Brook will remain in his display? How long to leave it fallow. Lee is the one to answer this, there is not a lot of info on this disease. Most articles state symptoms and treatment of the fish. Even my Noga disease book has little info I would...

HELP!!! Problems with my new True Perculas

Look for other symtoms such as heavy breathing, lethargy. Unfortunatly, you may NOT know till its too late. Since they are tank raised, there is less of a chance that it is Brook..Unless of course they were housed with wild caught Clowns that were infected. I had a Clown that started looking as...

    Dottyback a good nano fish?

I don't think a 6.6 is big enough for a Dottyback. Though some stay small, they are big swimmers and need a lot more room. I really wouldn't put any fish in a tank that size , but if I had to suggest one it would be a Clown Goby

HELP!!! Problems with my new True Perculas

I've always had great luck feeding small Clowns Cyclopeeze. After a couple of weeks they would eat anything. If this are wild caught Clowns I would be very concerned about Brook. Probably best to move them to qt and start formalin dips just to be safe. Brook invades the gills first and usually...

6 line wrasse with 2 clownfish?

The 6-line would be fine with the Clowns if the tank were larger. I had a 6-line and that little fish was all over my 125 before it went carpet surfing:mad: My Clowns actually picked on my Wrasse.. Clowns are Damselfish don't forget and even Ocellaris Clowns can be aggresive towards tankmates...

Need a hang on skimmer and light for my new 90gl?

I've used both the Aqua C and the Coralife skimmers..I would reccomend the Remora Pro w/ Mag 7 for a 90. The Coralifes are hard to adjust, like to overflow and kind of bulky. I also have the SunTek T5's and LOVE them! If you are going to want to keep clams I'd go with the Suntek 6 bulb on a 90...

    Favorite Fish??

Hmmmmm it would be hard to pick my favorite fish..I must say, I have always thought the Powder Blue Tang was the most beautiful fish..But I don't have one of those:( I love my Raccoon Butterfly for his personality. He eats right out of my hand. My Blueface Angel is my most beautiful fish My...

The Case of The Murdered CopperBand

Yes they do.. Copperbands are difficult fish to keep. Many never eat in captivity, eventually starving to death. They are also timid fish , they should never be kept with aggresive tankmates. Your copperband sounds as if he had a bacterial infection or secondary infection. Since you had not...

    new to all this

You've got some pretty big fish there...What size tank is this? Tank size is a major factor when stocking a tank.. How long has this tank been set up? Before deciding on a 'Nemo theme' you need to research each fish. While Clowns and Damsels are good begginer fish, I would never recommend a...

    what should I get?

Tomatos can be mean little buggers!! In a tank that size, you have to be careful in choosing tankmates. A small Dottydack might work.

Whats goin on with my Flame?

Is 'odinex' the brand name of this. If so, what's in it? I can't find any reference to it in my two disease books. Did your Flame only have the two spots near his eye ? If so, I may not have been ick. And as far as Ick goes, I wouldn't use anything but Copper or Hypo P.S. I'm from Indy but...

    all my fish have ich

You obviously know there is no easy way to erradicate this. You really need to remove the fish for treatment and let the tank go fallow 6-8 weeks. Depending on the size of your fish a 55 would be okay for a temporary home as would a few smaller tanks. Hypo in your main would be tricky, it will...

    Anularis (Blue Ring) Angel problems

I brought a sick Majestic home from work a few months ago..He wasn't eating, but I'm not sure if it was due to his eyes which were in very bad shape. I don't think he could see. I medicated him and waited. The first thing he ate was algae strips [placed right in front of his face] All my fish...
