Well that tank is great. Your 180 was fantastic but I also see the need to have more space front to back. I can't clean the glass in my 55 without breaking stuff so I am getting a 120 tomorrow. Would love a tank like yours but our house is small. With your coral growth rate they will bee hitting the front glass in a week though!
If you come to PDX at all I have neon green sinularia you can have or I can mail a frag. I owe you, still using your sump and it's still great!
Congratulations all around, and by the way you are way too humble about your carpentry skills.
Kate

My god that tank looks horrible!! When are you going to learn to grow fuzzy sticks?!?

:lol::badgrin::lol: JK, You know I like your tank. Seems softy tanks may be making a comeback in the Seattle area. I love my SPS but I do miss my green polyped sarco leather. Tanks like yours give softies a good name.:)

I do like those fuzzy sticks.

They make a great place for my zoanthids to grow on.:p

I was tempted to go sps in my main display tank years ago, but there are many times that I end up working out of town for months on end. During those times, my wife takes care of every household chore, her work, and then my tanks. There are times she wouldn't be able to deal with the tanks at the same level I do and things suffer. Having a soft coral tank has made it a little easier for her to help me. Most of the time when soft corals look bad, something as simple as a water change will solve most of the problems.
I've also learned to make it as bullet proof as possible. The tank will run itself for as long as two weeks without much to do except feed the fish and I do that lightly.

Thank-you for the compliments. Coming from sps keepers, it means alot.:)

I'll try a 2-1/2 year update.

Very NICE Marty, very nice indeed. Guess I'll have to update mine now as well...lol

Cheers, Todd

I like that..the overall look is fantastic..it is not always about that high end zoa..your tank is what the hobby is all about..happy thriving corals..

Marty, Wow....lookin real nice. From the pic it looks to be a nice clean system, any reefer, non or otherwise, would go gaga over. My god man, how many zoa's are there?

Thanks Eric.

To answer your question,

literally thousands and then some

of freaking button polyps.:(

Wasn't able to keep on top of things last fall and winter ( illness) and they took over pretty much most of the bare rock.
