My new ploy...

Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

j.stagner,

I would love the extra webcam! Anyway you could bring it to the next meeting? I may just be setting myself up for a long haul of embarrassment since this tank isn’t on its feet yet.

I wonder if I should be giving discounts on snails that burrow under substrate and reduce advertising time.

-Erik

Sure, if you remind me just before the meeting (I have a lousy memory), I will bring you the one I no longer use.

You have to agree to set it up on the tank though ;) I can help with hosting if necessary....

Done deal! :D Now if I can just get my memory to keep track of that...

Only thing that people will have to deal with is the fact that the first month or so of viewing will just be me working on setting up the tank (getting close to being done). Oh, and the occasional ferret from the four-foot ferret cage next to the tank might run through the picture, carpet sharks!@

-Erik

i can see the snails now,,,,covered with little stickers, looking like the "Nascar Reeftank 500!!"

You got it Witfull!
Now how many can I put you down for? Perhaps you can sponsor an anti-crab taskforce in my tank.

*Walks off to see about equipping bristlestars with AR-15s*

-Erik

Erik buddy I think you just hit the big time. I have been contacted by a corporate sponcer.......and.............we got our first shoe contract.........

Just one shoe....but hey!!!!!

Mike

Hey Mike, be sure to let them know that gastropods like high-tops and they want a cut of each sale... or some diatoms...

What I have done on my tank is to install micro Onstar systems.
LOL Mojo!!!

A typical Onstar call is something like this:

{Onstar} How may we help you?
{Frantic car owner} I'm stuck on the side of the road and my car is out of gas.
{Onstar} We have found your position and we have contacted a towing company to bring you gas right now.
{Frantic car owner} Thank you Onstar!!!

Mojo....your new Micro-Onstar system is a great idea.

{Micro-Onstar} How may we help you?
{Frantic Margarita Snail} There is a blue legged hermit running at me from the right and there is a stone crab with red eyes who has been staring at me for quite some time on my left.
{Micro-Onstar} We have found your position and a Peacock Mantis has been dispatched to rough up those crabs a little. However, do not leave your shell under any circumstances!!!
{Frantic Margarita Snail} Thank you Micro-Onstar!!!

Cool, I rather enjoy the setup stuff. Some of the more interesting threads I've enjoyed were those documenting the setup of a tank from inception to full reef. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from them.

Ha ha, this thread is a kick!

We have one; I think it just might be the sulphur fumes from tearing down the DSB. :D

Adrriene! Welcome, welcome. :D

Now, how about we set you up with our new platinum sponsors club or the Monitpora Monthly as we call it:

For the mere price of 5 dollars a month you can sponsor your own little nematocyst wielding delight. You will receive progress reports and family... err colony photographs. For every eight months that you are a member of the club, you are entitled to host one of our exchange students. I think you would call them Frags. We here at Erik's Aquarium for Less Fortunate Charges prefer not use such terms, as we try not to remind these unfortunate youngsters that they are being severed from thier home and family (not to mention the shock some of these children experience upon finding out they were not produced sexually).

You can contact me at home or through e-mail.

-Erik

For 5 cents a day a young snail can have enough food to lead a fulfilling life. Think about the children.

Hey good looking great to see ya. man I havent seen a post out of you in a long time.....reminds me of the good ald days.

Mike

Heh. So I was told that my dues were topless photos?
Exactly where do I post them and can the proceeds go to macbeths adopt a critter sponsorship program?

Yo... Adrienne... we have the same last name... never met a "in" before. well, haven't met you but closer than i've been before.
