Dotty's doing great! Loves the frozen baby brine shrimp. Royal Gramma & Blenny pay her no mind at all. She pretty much hangs out in the same area, hopefully this will change over time.
All is great with the tank. Parameters stable. Corals growing well and showing great color. Really wish I had somewhere here to buy corals from. Would love something new!!
Dotty's taken to eating the Reef Frenzy. Come feeding time she/he is all over the place.
Since I changed out my fuge light from the Utilitech 15w Par30 to that of the Reef Radiance DM-5E SPECIFICATIONS:
Power: 5 WATTS
Layout: 5 X 1 WATT LEDS:, 1 RED LED @660 nm, 2 ROYAL BLUE LED @ 450 nm, 1 VIOLET LED @ 410 nm, 1 WHITE LED @ 6500K Kelvin.
This lil light is the bomb! All cyano is gone. Chaeto is no longer browning nor breaking up. I'm even getting coralline on my rock. Best of all, it was free! Been helping Rick of Reef Radiance out with customer questions so he sent me the fuge light as a thank you. Pretty awesome right?!
First pic is light, then some coral pics.
Lol-Marty I have no idea. Some things grow great for me like LPS. Zoa's I can't keep alive no matter what.
I work very hard at keeping the big 3 stable, regular bi-weekly WC's that's about it. Been doing it this way for 5yrs.
I am hoping that with a larger water volume, better lights I'll be able to keep more then just LPS
Sometime's I get overwhelmed with how well my tank is doing
Upped my white light from 6% max to 10% and I'm liking the look.
Went from a 10g bi-weekly WC to 5g.
I see my first sign of Coralline by way of a tiny spot on the rock-lol.
Parameters have been very stable.
