wow! excelent job building that tank Big T. Its amazing how fast stuff grew in there while you were gone. Good job to your wife and friend for there hard work taking care of it too:)

Thanks all for the kind words! The tank is doing well, my new pieces have started coloring up a little so I am happy about that. I picked up 3 baby maximas the other day and i really like them. I will have to take some pix soon.

Haha Brad, yes it is turning into one of my fav's. It is one of those gems from local reefers. I got it as a encrusted base 2 years ago. It was in my tank tru my sandbed mess and on the brink of death a couple times. It was even starting w/ STN. It has really taken off here in the last 3 months and is growing quick. It is a pretty cool dark peachy color w/ blue tips and a green base in person, I will try to get a top down pic later.

Thanks Scoot, yes I am real happy with the way things have been going so far. I wonder when that corraline will kick in? I really couldnt care less if it never does, I only have to run the mag across the glass about 1 time a week to keep it looking nice.

HEY TOM i like the stand lloks great. my 75 sits on an oak all plywood stand bought from petsmxxt modified with brackets screws etc. it is plenty enough for my tank.n i always laugh when I see smaller tanks supported with 2x4"s+

Looking forward to getting out there and checking your tank out in person  Everything is looking great  Thanks again for the frags, they were an excellent house/tankwarming gift ;) Now if everything turns out half as nice as yours it'll look great :D

Hey Gobie, yes I think that most stands are way overbuilt, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. My stand is holding up rather well and is just 3/4" ply and some 3/4" hardwood in the front.

Todd, Looking forward to you coming out :D It was great to see your tank, I like it a lot - very nice. I am sure you will be giving away frags in no time ;)

Thanks T,
looking forward to the day I too can hook others up :D A frag of that new one I got has your name on it when its ready ;)

Made it out to Big T's today and all I can say is INCREDIBLE! Wow, the growth in his tank is outstanding  I can only dream of the day when my tank is growing corals with that much growth and coloration. Thanks for hooking me up with the trap for my monster crab! I'll try catching him as soon as possible and get it back out to you along with the pump ;) Thanks for having me over today

Thanks Todd, it was fun having you out. I hope that you and can make it out again soon, and bring Chris! It is always fun having people over who are into the reefs. Most people just look at me like I am crazy when they see the tank. One guy was like wow that is nice, so where are all the coral? LOL

Well I the tank has come along since the last update. I have added a frag rack, and at this point pretty much everything up there has encrusted onto the plugs, so that is good. I cought my zoo eating foxface rabbit, and traded it for a beautiful Powder Blue Tang, and some new zoo's :D. I also rearranged the left side of the tank a bit, due to losing frags into the rockwork  There have been 4 new clams added and quite a few little frags:D The new PBT seems to like my algea, the first thing it did was start attacking the snails that have it all over their backs lol. So that is about it really, still need to finish my stand doors and I am going to try to get something done on those today. I will post a few new pics later, but growth has been good especially on that peach colored table w/ the blue tips.

Ok Update

Well ok here is a update, I am sure all of you have just been on the edge of your seats  I had bought a Powder blue tang, but it didn't make it past a week or so. It looked really healthy but after a week it had really labored breathing, and was dead that night :(. I will try to find another healthy one later on. For now I am getting ready to find a house and get everything moved. We are really excited to get our own place, maybe a bigger tank will be in order. So anyway the tank has been doing real well and I have been seeing growth on just about everything so I am happy.

My peach table has been growing real well, and I added this frag rack and got rid of the hokey hanging frags :D

Looking good!!! I have to come down next week to check it out in person. Thanks for the pictures Tom. As always ya da man. Dave

Nice Tom. Looks like some of those zoos are making a comeback. Got everything working well...must be time to tear it all done to move it ;)

I hope you find the house your looking for...let me know when you need help moving the tank...I'm a glutton for the beatings of tank moves.
