so the wife wants her dinning room back.....i have to turn one of my rooms into a fish room . so the location has been picked this is a photo shopped image to give you an idea this wall is as soon as you walk in from my front door. and the right side of the tank will wrap around to the living room.

i will run the plumbing in there for a sink water station and drains. the convenient part is that the bathroom is right there on the left wall as soon as you walking into the room.

questions:
i need to determine if this is a load bearing wall.
any general contractors out there willing to help out?
what is the best type of flooring for this my subfloor is MDF.?
im sure i will have more questions

You had me scared for a second...I said now how in the heck did he install that tank in the wall crooked like that!!! . Should look really nice there man!! Good luck!!! :)

I've actually been doing allot of research on flooring in preperation to redo my living room for my new 275 peninsula. So far its a stand off between tile and laminate wood flooring. There is a brand of laminate out there (kraus) which I found a dealer on craigslist for them that even covers water damage in their 27 year warranty. as well as its being water resistant. But I already have tile in a large portion of my house and dont really want to continue more tile into my living room as well.

where the tank sits now there is laminate wood flooring from lumber liquidators. holding up just fine no issues so far. i think i might just do vinyl flooring in there

okay so the new tank dimensions are gonna be 60"Lx36Wx24"H here is the actual size of the tank blue taped put on the wall.
