    CL280 Chiller

    so, how many gallons per hour is that? I was hoping I could run the return from my sump through the chiller then back to the tank, but my over flow is rated at 300 gallons per hour. I am in the process of setting this thing up and my concern is I don't have enough water coming out of the tank.

    Hi Folks, I just got a Pacific Coast Imports CL280 chiller. On the internet is says it needs a flow rate of 500-800 gallons per hour, but on the box it says 300-500.     OK, I am going to join the sump society, been sumpless going on 3 years now and its time to step it up. I don't have a lot of room in my stand, only 12 inches wide so its going to be tight (36 gallon corner tank). Any suggestions? Where is a good place to go sump shopping in the Seattle area...

    To Remora Owners

    I just did clean mine the other day and it is working better. A word to the wise, if your unit does have a white screw, make sure you put it back in before turning the powerhead back. I had a stream of water almost hit the ceiling one time. I wish I had a video of those few seconds.

    I just got a ricordia for my 36 gallon tank. I have lower light (2 x 65pc) so all I have are some zoo's in there. My question is how toxic are the ricordia? I know mushrooms can be very toxic, so do the ricordia fall into the same group?

    Free snail!!!

    I'd give him the deep freeze over night, then boil it the next day and pop the meat out with a tooth pick and put the shell back in the tank. I did that with a nasty snail one time and it ended up as a really cool shell for one of my hermits.
