Tank is 72"x36" 19"tall on the deeper side and 15" tall on the shallow side.
I'm hoping for a 72" halide/t5/led combo fixture, or seperate MH pendants.

Did you notice I have 2 anemones now?:D
He finished dividing last night. One stayed where the mother was, and the other went just on the other side of the same rock and has stayed put so far.

Funny that I refer to almost all my corals as "he", but refer to the previous colonies and such as a "mother".

I'd go with individual pendants, then you can lower each light down to where you need it for those corals - as well as use different bulbs/lighting types depending on the corals you keep. By using "dedicated" lighting you can save some $$ by only putting out for a MH on your SPS, and keeping T5s or LEDs on your zoas, keeping both happy :)

Ohhh - and you should buy some raffle tickets - so far only 10 have been sold (to me), so odds are good you are winning that MH pendant ;) hahaha and Scott has a freebie ballast for anyone who wins the pendant to get it running until they buy a good ballast to really get that thing going :D

OK - enough of my shameless plug

I will definately be buying some raffle tickets. If I could win that pendant, I would put that over the deeper side, and put all the t5s over the shallow side. Then I could grow anything I want in both sides! My t5s already do great with sps anyways.

what lighting is over the open brain?

For whatever reason, I am unable to keep brains/wellsis under my 2x250w MH 10K bulbs..
they don't open up.

Just some cheap stuff, nothing too special. I have the odyssea 48" 4x54 watt t5 with led lunars, and 2 coralife 24" 2x24 watt t5. Most of my bulbs are pretty old too.

ah, T5..seems like this is the light of choice for these corals...

To me, it seems like a good choice for almost all corals. MH is great if you are using a deep tank or mostly stocked with sps, but even then, you can be quite successful with the right t5 setup. I can grow even the most light demanding things under my t5s pretty easily, with great color.

define deep tank?

I mostly have LPS and a only 3 SPS (mille, pocillopora, and pink stylophora)

Well, I'm not a professional and this is just what I've heard, that if your tank is much more than 24" deep, the t5s will not have as much penetrating strength as the MH and will not be sufficient for light demanding corals. Even in my shallow tank, I try to keep the higher demanding things toward the top. But I have really cheap fixtures and mostly old bulbs (I'm in desperate need of a new lighting system).

If I was you, I would ask some more opinions about this issue, and seriously think about checking out some t5s. They also operate cooler, last longer, and broaden the choices for color combonations/types of bulbs. Then your brains would be happy!:)

Forgot to mention, that every SPS I have put in there in the last 6 months or more has gotten some very nice growth and beautiful color. T5s work just fine for your sps and clams as well. Ask returnofsid, he has t5s.

I had some major issues with the tank recently: http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58245
Everythink except my xenia survived, and is doing very well.

Here's some great pics that Michael took at our club meeting a couple days ago. (this was only 2 days after the accident, and everything looks much happier now)

Added some more life to the shallow side. Thanks Ntswift!

Just got done moving them around when I took this picture, so they aren't polyped out, but I can take more pics later. I really like the toadstool.
