The glass shield would be a good idea Jim. Low iron is great but all you need for a shield is single strength glass that is about 3/16" thick. Regular glass would be just fine for this. That is what is on my pendants. Low iron is good for thicker glass 3/8" and thicker.

Are those the yoyo suspension hangers? So you can lift and lower the lighting without having to mess with locking nuts?

That's some kick ass aquascaping btw! Love the rock pieces!

Thanks Frankie ! Regular glass would be way cheaper. :)

They're not the yo-yo type, but rather the spring loaded type you see on the the Tek or Maristar fixtures...super easy to adjust up or down.

I have to thank my reef club buds (Robin) for the three large Marco Rock pieces that anchor the aquascaping and Johnny who spent a good half day with me putting it together (via fiberglass rods and mortar).

Hey Jim, that is some Kick-Ass Aquascaping you have going on in there. Those tabeling LR pieces are perfect and so easy to attach SPS frags into. The whole system is looking really good, Congrats.

Cheers, Todd

I noticed when I cam back from vacation that I was missing a couple of Seale cardinalfish. So, like most of us I checked if they jumped or in the overflows. Much to my surprise two of them hooked up and a male is mouth brooding !

Wow! those are awesome. You probably don't see those in lfs. Congrats on the eggs. My shrimp never did that, well, at least that I could tell.

I've seen the black tangs for sale from 3-8 bills depending on size. I've never seen a piebald, but I would imagine they are on the upper side of what a black tang would cost. I'm sure if you had a pair of shrimps at one time they most likely spawned. It pretty cool to watch when they release their eggs...mine would go near the return or powerhead and release them. I noticed my blood shrimps are carrying eggs also , but it's hard to take a pic b/c of their dark red bodies.
