The precipitation is possible as I've also got bad clumping of my SB. (Freaking sand bed) But I don't know how to fix that issue. What causes it? I dose BRS 2 part via a doser, hours apart 3x a day. My Mag is at 1400, ALK 9, Calc 420 and PH 8.2 all per RedSea, tested 2 days ago.

Cut back on the dosing.

I know this sounds un reef like, but forget the test numbers for now.
Keep doing small water changes, remove sand with each water change.

Removed more sand today. Along with a bunch of bubble algae and spaghetti worms. Got a bunch of those worms geezzzz.
My Idaho Grape completely dislodged my Birds Nest so now it's just being held in place by the plate-lol.
Fire & Ice Zoas still haven't morphed back to their original color. Bummer because I'm not liking them all orangy looking.

Hate that bubble algae. It's out of control in my 50 gallon tank.

That orange color is usually big money. lol

I'm going back to my bi-weekly WC's. This monthly crap is beginning to show. I feed to much for monthly-lol.
I think I might add my WP10 too. I love the Gyre but there's just to much flow at the opposite end. Might put the mp10 on the back wall center.
Maybe I need to do a little re-scaping too.
Seriously can't wait till all this sand is gone. Got a whole pile of "rocks" building up in the back corner-lol. The more sand I remove the more clumps I find.

Pic taken this morning. Did a WC yesterday, removed a bunch more sand/stuff. Love the SB looking all white en nice.

Not until all the old is gone or if the crap stops. The pretty white sand will last for about 24hrs. You can already see it starting in the pic. By Monday it'll be covered again :(

Love this pic.

Added an old WP10 to the back wall. Kicking myself for trading my old MP10 last year for corals and keeping this one. Oh well it's still does the job.

This is such a bummer. Been slowly happening for the past year. Only reason I haven't removed it is because it's still growing.

It was yes :( my bad. I totally suck at coral placement. It's already encrusted so I don't wanna rip it off the rock. I don't know where else to put the Gyre.
So I've raised the pump higher, turned it way down low and added a WP10 to the back wall to compensate.
Is it to late to save it? Makes me wanna freaking cry. I've lost to many corals with this tank. Ugh! I feel like a big ole failure....sorta.

I'm beginning to sound like a whiner.

Well it's off the Idaho Grape-lol. I don't know what to do with it! So I just hung it there for now. Think maybe I'll take it to our frag swap and have a friend frag it up. Like I did with my Candy Cane. Then just give the frags to whoever wants them :)

Radion hung! ATM it's 11" from surface, acclimation mode. May need to raise it up. Not yet sure as it kinda hard to tell. Looks naked up there-lol.

I agree it does look a little dark compared to your other fts.

Maybe need to use a different preset program.
We can try the high growth program and set the high points to a 16k or 18k color.

I think I set the acclimation program to start at 50% and go to 65%, with it at 11" ( maybe raise it a little ) and start and end a little higher for more visible light.

Your welcome Jamie.
Glad it's working right.

Now you see why I'm such a big Radion fan.
The light is pretty awesome just as a light.
Small fixture but big spread.
Then you bring in the software and IMO makes them miles ahead of others.

There is one other with similar features, can't remember right now. Might be the other company that EcoTech bought.
