I started this new thread for the folks that have not followed my build, and for the people who have been waiting to see this build finished.
I'll keep it simple with a light review of the build. This project was a direct result of a seam going bad.

That led to this

Lucky for me I had enough 3/4 acrylic stashed in the shop to build another 90gal AIO, with reinforced corners.
I started with the sump/fuge section. It will be welded to the right side of the DT. The flow is provided by a Maxijet 600
110_2559.jpg

I am using a BH 1000 HOB skimmer. This will hang on the back of the tank and the skimmer will pull water from this overflow jig
110_2540.jpg

I made these to weld in all the inside corners. Overkill? YES!!!!
110_2574.jpg

Water into the fuge/sump water out. The sump attatches to the slotted side
110_2603.jpg

Corners all glued in
110_2620.jpg

The tank is a Bare bottom. This closed loop rig will keep the bottom of the tank cleaner
110_2625.jpg

Added black to the sump wall. This is water in and water out

Water leak/flow test

There is more.
110_2659.jpg

The tank sits in a corner so I only need to make two sides. This is the face frame for the tank.
110_2701.jpg

Part of the half hood the section to the far right will allow access to the fuge area
110_2722.jpg

110_2727.jpg

110_2738.jpg

This contraption will hold the lights. they will hang on drawer runners so I can move them towards the back of the tank to do maint.
110_2773.jpg

Power heads will hang on fixtures slotted into the top braces. Acrylic sides are to thick for the magnets
110_2998.jpg

This double box will hold my ATO switches One main One backup
110_2993.jpg

Now lets decorate the inside
I will glue these to the sides of the tank to hold foam back rocks
110_2984.jpg

110_2988.jpg

I also made a couple of free standing platforms
110_3030.jpg

A set of doors for the stand face lift

So the tank went from this look

This is the best shot I have of the wood grain and figure of the redo... DONE!!!!!

I like it but now I need little arrows telling me what does what??

Mojo

Thanks Mojo.
Inserting arrows is way out of my skills on the computer.
Basically the water enters the large section to the right. This section holds Macro and rock rubble. There is a divider wall that the pump runs thru. It will draw the water from that chamber and pump it into the return chamber that will hold Media. The pump will take the water level higher than the water level in the DT so it will flow back into the DT. Simple but effective. If I want more flow thru the fuge I just switch the Max 600 to something larger.

Thanks justforfun,
I used weldon #4 for the acrylic and Titebond 2 for the wood. Here are a couple more pick of the rock holders. The set into a bracket that I glued onto the sides of the tank

I drilled some holes in the acrylic and then cut them into one hole pieces
110_2973.jpg

Layed out the platform and drilled the same size hole to accept an acrylic rod
110_2975.jpg

The platform sets into the bracket glued to the wall. I can move them from side to side.

My DETAILED build thread is Titled " Peppie's 4th Build" here on the Member showcase

SWEEEEEET!!! It's done. Very nice Dave and those are even some pretty decent pics but when the subject has beauty like that I guess it make the photography easier.

OK I got be the first to ask... What's the next project? Huh Huh Huh??? Bigger??? Better??? More??? Where you gonna put it??? What's it gonna be built out of, acrylic or glass??? Huh Huh Huh??? What ya waitin for? Tell us already!!!

Alright, maybe I had one to many soda beverages today :D

Be-leave (sp) it or not I have been rolling a coal bucket around in my head. The logistics of making one out of wood is giving me a headache. LOL
Oh your talking about another aquarium? I have an idea for one, but it would have to be for sale. No room here.

That thing is awesome and such a beautiful piece. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for your next build project. :D Reminds me that I need to finish up on my build now that the nice weather is gone.

Cheers,
Alex
