OCD Reefer's New 50 gallon Tank Thread..

I have 33 gallon with SPS and clam mix. I am trying to decide if I want to go with MP10 or MP20. I am mostly concerned about the noise level. Should I go with MP20 and crank the power down or is MP10 strong and quiet enough for the 33 cube?

I have 2 MP20's running full power in my 80 and can hardly hear them at all.

Hey, very nice tank there. I like the arrangement and coral growing pattern. Acan color look really good to. You must have very good and stable chemistry. Keep up the good work, buddy.

Tank update: Tank is five months old. I have not had any major problems. Everything is healthy and happy. I have only lost two fish for unknown reasons (under feeding I think) Corals are growing but slowly. (slower then I would like) Only issue I have had is a some issues with red bugs. I treated three days 1/8th a pill and seems to have done the trick. I didn't lose anything, my cleaner shrimp and pistol shrimp both are still active and health. I manual dose with kalk everyday and don't plan to put an ATO system in place. Seems like every major disaster these days is because of an ATO.

Nice tank man! What lights did you end up going with? Also are you using a chiller on the tank? If so, what type is it and how do ya like it?

I went with a 20k 250... forgetting the brand right now. I also have 2*65 watt atinic light.

I run a chiller in the summer Custom Imports Mini, worked great. never got above 78
